Remembrance Day 2016 Ceremony

Date: 2016-11-11

On Nov. 11, 2015 the Toronto Paramedic Association was represented by board member Michael Hull at the North York Remembrance Day ceremony. The ceremony was held at the Toronto Centre for the Arts and included veterans, currently serving military personnel, representatives from three emergency services and their respective associations, several other civilian organizations and various levels of government. The indoor ceremony was very well attended filling the George Weston Recital Hall. The ceremony included an Honour Guard and the Laying of Wreaths was presided over by Ms. Lilian Jardine. Every year following the official ceremony, she asks all military personnel who have ever served or who are currently serving, including the Canadian Coast Guard, to stand and be recognized for their bravery and commitment to this nation. As the representatives smartly stand the audience vigorously applauds these men and women. Scanning the room, it is quite moving to see these brave individuals receive a small token of gratitude for their service.
